FAQ

What is BreathSesh?
A focused breathing app for iPhone. Pick a pattern, follow the animated bloom, and let your nervous system settle. Designed for sessions under two minutes.
What’s free and what costs money?
Calm Breathing is free forever. The three advanced patterns — Box Breathing, 4-7-8, and Wim Hof — unlock together with a single $7.99 one-time purchase. No subscription, no renewal.
Which breathing patterns are included?
Calm Breathing (a simple inhale-exhale rhythm, free), Box Breathing (4-4-4-4 equal phases), 4-7-8 (extended hold), and Wim Hof (30 rapid breaths followed by a retention hold, across 1–5 rounds).
How does Wim Hof work in the app?
Two modes. Guided mode uses a fixed retention hold you select up front (30, 60, or 90 seconds). Freestyle mode lets you hold as long as you want and tap to end — your actual hold time is recorded. Both support 1–5 rounds with rest between.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay $7.99 one time to unlock the three premium patterns. You keep them on every device signed into the same Apple ID.
Do my sessions sync across devices?
Yes, through your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. We have no servers and cannot see your data. Sign out of iCloud and the sync stops.
Does BreathSesh use the microphone?
No. BreathSesh doesn’t request microphone access, camera access, location, or contacts. It only asks for permission to send you one daily reminder if you enable it.
How does the streak work?
Complete at least one full breathing session on a given day and your streak advances. Miss a day and it resets. You can see your full history on the streak screen.

Restore purchases

If the premium patterns appear locked on a new device, open BreathSesh, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. The one-time unlock reapplies as long as you are signed into the same Apple ID.
